Another finish from me ^_^

Hey de ho readers ^_^

Another finish from me and a wee ramble!

This book was written by a friend of the Dad's! She is a very lovely and clever lady. I enjoyed reading this a lot. The books is built up around a box of letters which Christine's father found when he was clearing an old pharmacist shop in Falmouth. It includes the letters, from Katie in Scotland to James in Falmouth, with a story woven in between them.

My current read

It's been too long since my last post on here.

I am sorry to say I have lost track of books read so I thought I would post about my current read.

I am reading The Little Friend , by Donna Tartt

Not my usual read but I was stuck for a book one night and picked this off the shelf , it's taking some reading , should finish it in a day or two , but really enjoying the " complexity " of it,

What is everyone reading at the moment

Potterthon finished!

Howdy readers!

So, I finished the Potterthon last night ^_^ Woohoo! I really loved re-reading the last two books as I have only read those ones once before. Although...I cried just as much through Half Blood Prince this time as the first! lol. As soon as Hedwig is killed that's it! I sniffle my way through from there whether in book form or movie!

My new list then looks a little like this...

51. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
52. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I am still having a leisurely stroll through Jane Eyre with Cucki ^_^ And have started Inkspell by Cornelia Funke.

3 away from my 50 book target ^_^

At long long last I finished Life of Pi!! Why it took me so long to read this book I do no know! It was not that I did not like it,although I have to admit parts of it were way too gory for my liking!!  I can think of no reason....other than maybe I got lost in Hogwarts ^_^
Anyhoo, I thought I'd waffle a bit about it...

I thought the story was very clever. This may only be my interpretation of it so please, if you have read this book, do offer your views. I thought it represented the way the human mind works, and how it copes with situations that are just to horrible to live with, so the human brain turns these situations into fantasy, into stories, so that we can understand, or try to understand them. And it also shows that other people prefer to accept the fantasy rather than the reality? As I say, this may be just my interpretation of it. I know i for one, once I understood what was going on, preferred the fantasy to the reality, it was easier to take in and understand what had happened....but then I do always favour fantasy over reality! ;-) Anyhoo.....Just a little waffle ^_^

So, now I am re-reading Jane Eyre, along with Cucki. If anyone else wants to join in, feel free. I have just got to the part where Jane meets Helen so I am not too far into the story.

So, a question for you:
I have been thinking about changing the name of this blog...to, The Reading Group. Thoughts are most welcome. I thought that way, people taking part in the 50 book challenge could still do so, but it would maybe give others the opportunity to join us who may not want to do the challenge? People could just stop in and discuss a book they are reading or suggest a book or any of those reading related things readers like to do ^_^ it's just a thought and your ideas are welcome. One worry I did have about doing this is that I have heard if you change a blogs name you lose all blog content! So, I would have to look into that.

Right, that's me done!

Until next time, happy reading beautifuls
