3 finishes...or possibly 2 and 3 quarters!

Hi Everyone,

So here is my update...I finished Ruth Rendell's The best man to die. She is fast becoming a new favourite author and I can see why almost 50 years on from the first published one, they are still so popular. Next up was The 39 steps by John Buchan. I expect some of you may have seen the film adaptations, I hadn't but I'll look out for it now as it was such a good book. It's one that's been on my bookshelves for 10 years, and I never got round to reading.  I'm hopeless at giving reviews, so apolgies for that.

I had a kindle for Mothering Sunday so I've downloaded a few books that have been on offer...I have Capital and Chocolate Girls waiting for me and I've started on Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibilty. I also downloaded two Agatha Raisin short stories, Hells Bells and Christmas Crumble. I've read both of these and count Crumble as half a book, a it is only around 80 pages. It was a fun story and very Agatha and not bad at just over £1 but I was disapointed by Hells Bells as it seemed to be something that the Author had written for a promo, as it had very little plot to it. I think it would have made a great full novel. I can't complain as it was a free download.

So here is the updated list...

  1. Nice update Kerry. Are those Agatha books only for Kindle? I like how you've added the dates to your list, that's a good idea.
    Happy reading

  2. Doing well there Kerry! I've seen both the original film of 39 Steps and the remake but I've never read the book. Glad you love Ruth Rendell! She's great. Another good one is 'Adam and Eve and Pinch Me' by her. Off to do my update in a mo...
