Another MC Beaton

Hi Everyone,
Went to the Library yesterday in hope of finding Annie Murray's Chocolate girls, no luck, but found an MC Beaton I hadn't read. (now there aren't many of those left!)

So my new book is a Hamish McBeth mystery called Death of an addict and I'll be back soon to tell you how I got on.

A finish at last!

Hi everyone,

I finally finished Alan Hunter's Gently through the Mill last night. It was a good read and quite different to the version of the story that they made in to an episode of the TV series. I'm not sure what I'm going to start next as I'm going to the library tomorrow and quite fancy trying some of the Annie Murray books the were recomended. If  I can't find one I may give one of the Ruth Rendell's a go. Mum reads them a lot and I thought as I've never read any of hers, time for a new author.

Happy reading :-)

Update

1.Dodger by Terry Pratchett.
2. Wings by Aprilynne Pike
3.Paulo Coelho Confessions of a Pilgrim by Juan Arias.
4.Untamed by P.C. and Kristin Cast
5.Merlin. The Prophet and his History by Geoffrey Ashe.

Ok, as everyone else is writing very interesting posts I thought I'd have a bash! Don't expect great things!lol.

Merlin, The Prophet and His History by Geoffrey Ashe. An interesting read. Not a lot of new info that hasn't been in other Merlin books, but a good read none the less. I did make a little list of a few Merlin themed books to hunt down from it ^_^
Told you not to expect much! I'm not the best (or even the 10th from best!) at writing book reviews. If you've never read a Merlin book before this is a good start and if you have, it's still a good read. Also has a beautiful Burne-Jones cover ^_^

Update

Just to update my reading list

1. The Stupidest Angel. By Christopher Moore
2. Christmas at the Cupcake Cafe. By Jenny Colgan
3. Meet me at the Cupcake Cafe .

Christmas at the cupcake cafe is the sequel to Meet Me At the Cupcake Cafe, although it does help to have read the first book, you can easily start this one without reading the first. The author does give a short description of all the characters in the book.

A very enjoyable read and plenty of recipes for cakes as a bonus ,highly recommended,

I'm adding the first cupcake book to my list of books read
